I'm Flávio Santos, a senior frontend engineer based in Almada, Setúbal. My day job since August 2018 has been frontend at Worten Portugal— first as a consultant (Bee Engineering, then LOGOSCON), then in-house. Vue.js apps, checkout and payment-method UI, cart and order flows, a Storybook library, analytics tracking, and tests. I integrate with Node.js APIs; I do not present that as a backend career.
Freelance work is the same craft for startups and stores: fast sites, landing pages, and checkout interfaces. You get production habits — performance, weekly written updates, code that stays maintainable — without paying agency overhead for someone you never meet.
